THEME

The Lie of the Land (Sandycove/Penguin, 2025) is a call to action for Ireland around addressing climate change, and how reimaging the way we use our land is a key step we can take. John Gibbons, who grew up on an arable farm, shows how we can embrace a low-emissions farming model while preserving farmers’ livelihoods, making the countryside a better place to live, and delivering something Ireland conspicuously lacks: food security.
